AB Flood - Camp Evergreen Edition

Cort, Tay, Steph, Koda, and I were the only ones who stayed behind during the mandatory evacuation this weekend. Saturday morning, we all decided to go for a jaunt to explore just how much damage the creek had caused to the site. This is also the trip that Cort and I discovered our mutual earworm: The Log Driver's Waltz.

The water here is about ankle deep. Nothing too scary.
About three steps ahead however, we all thought we were going to flood our boots.

It's normally such a peaceful creek! When did it get so angry?!

Photo op!!
(That's Steph, by the way. She later admitted to actually flexing for the pic, too. What a peach!)

The new Canoeing Obstacle Course!!

The almost Lake-Front property for the mini lodge.

Another shot of the magnificent Lower Playing Lake.

Sooooo... that strip of grass from the bottom left corner to the middle of the picture
is normally the berm that divides the creek and the canoe pond.
Notice how there's no separation there anymore? Yup, we did, too.

In addition to these fun pictures, we have named Mother Nature's newest additions (renovations?) to the property: The Upper Playing Lakes (formally the Playing Field), the Lower Playing Lake with the installation of Canoeing Obstacle Course (formally the Lower Playing Field aka - Mountain Biking Course), the North Hay Creek (formally the North Hay Field), and The Stupid Power Pole That's No Longer Attached To Anything or *curse words* That Power Pole Isn't Attached To Anything, depending on who you ask (formally The Stupid Power Pole That's Only Semi Attached To The Ground).
