Switchfoooooooot!!

The Rocket Summer opened. They were really good!

The "Jazz Hands Section"

Jon Foreman, looking dapper.

SWITCHFOOOOOOOT!!! And notice Jon Foreman is minus a jacket...

Then, he was minus a collared shirt and tie...

And that's how he stayed for the rest of the concert.

Emily and I have a two-year tradition of going to Switchfoot at Mac Hall in May... I hope they come back so we can continue our tradition!!
...and this is how I found him this morning. Still snoring, of course.

I'm puppy sitting tonight. This puppy snores. Good thing he's cute.
We'll call this an "I needed time to adjust to the newly enforced pace of my life" break from posting. I'm only exaggerating a little bit on that, too. I did need time to adjust (and have actually not even fully unpacked and set up my room yet!), but more than that, I felt needed to get to know my new coworkers. I apologize to all of you who actually read this, even though I don't know who most (well, any) of you are. I promise I did write stuff down as it happened, so that I would have stuff to write about... because we all know how bad my short-term memory is sometimes.

Story #1:
- Waaaaay back in November, shortly after I had returned to Leth, my pastor had told me to contact a friend of his for a job. Now that sounds absolutely more sketchy than it actually was; after my experiences at a certain couple of jobs, I promised myself I will try not to work for the mob again. My pastor is not in the mob (that I'm aware of). Moving on, he told me to find this friend of his on facebook, send her a private message (because we're not friends), and ask if she knew of any openings in the business she worked for. Personally, I found this terribly and irrevocably creepy, never actually did it, and put it out of my mind.

Fast forward to Wednesday of moving week, and the only person in my First Aid class who looked quasi-normal was the girl who was sitting in front of me, and thankfully when my teacher said "Now find a partner for the next two days," she looked right at me and looked like she'd had the same thought about me. She was actually really cool, and a Christian to boot. Awesome, no? We obviously began talking during our breaks and found out that she was that same girl that my pastor had told me to contact! Weird, right? Anyways, we keep talking and I mentioned that I was going out to Egreen. She looked a little shocked and asked if I knew a guy that had worked there 6 years prior, and I did... I actually kind of kept in contact with him randomly, as I knew he'd ended up in Leth post-camp, too. Turns out that she's his sister. MIND=BLOWN. Seriously. I'm not sure why it shocked me so much, because (as she stated) they do look very similar, but I had never heard him say anything about any siblings, and their last name is fairly common, so my mind never connected the two. But yeah, that's the story on my newest/most random friendship. God is good.

Story #2:
-Around Wednesday, I realized that I had way too many clothes, so I invited one of my friends over to pick through my things, see if she wanted anything, and some craziness ensued. I wish I had pictures of the fashion show that I got to see, but I have it stored in my memory bank and I guess that'll have to do.

God is good. All the time. God is good.

Cort has a bird's nest just outside of her office!
They're quite ugly, don't you think?

We made a campfire and bought steaks.

The big one in the middle was later wrapped in bacon.

"Oh crap, did I cut through my plate?"
